Celebrating the Life of Deacon Hayward Fenderson

Heartbreaking! Deacon Hayward Fenderson was a man of God who stood tall and gave it his all.

What an incredible life and legacy lived out loud as a cornerstone of @theremnantworshippers and our community.

Deacon Fenderson wore his heart on his sleeve to provide a touch point and serve. He wore so many hats as a selfless giver from the maintenance of our facility, to serving in the men’s ministry, singing in the choir, and faithfully standing on my right side every Sunday, as I opened the doors of the church.

Every time we would talk and laugh, I would tell him that he was the sharpest Deacon in the D, as he was always G’d up from the feet up. More than a ministry comrade, he was a friend and brother.

A family man, husband, father, mentor, brother, friend, and dedicated Deacon who touched countless lives.
